(to answer a rhetorical question) I think it is because single people have something to prove. Like back when Nicole Richie was Paris Hilton's funny fat friend. She had to prove something b/c Paris was the pretty, skinny one. Now that Nicole has wasted away to nothing she isn't funny anymore.

not funny? as if. i read somewhere that nicole ricci forced a twelve-year old boy to tell her that she was attractive. apparently, the lawyers are all over that and the father is majorly TO'd. but that's just repeating a rumour.
and i said single! not lonely! (i am not responsible for the conclusions that alex jumps to)
however, i have noticed this: in the 18th and 19th centuries, a lot of really great thinking went on in the colder countries (ex. germany) while you never hear of philosophers from warmer countries. my theory: in the southern climates they have better things to do, a la lying on the beach. its not proven, but i think i have a point.
I just like to use my jump-to-conclusion mat.
Shoot, I get the worst of both worlds then, don't I? I'm not particularly lonely, but therefore I'm not Brainiac McGee, either. I'll just have to settle for being the Tara Reid of the blog world.
